Vineyards
Barossa, Australia. Yellow loams with ironstone over clay.
Winemaking
Hand picked, basket pressed and unfiltered. The grapes spend 10 days on their skins with regular hand plunging to gently extract color, flavor and tannins. Matured in a combination of new and older French oak for 18 months.
Tasting Notes
Color: Ruby red.
Bouquet: Blackcurrant, tobacco and green tea.
Taste: Rich and concentrated, while the elegant French oak gives a ‘subtle lift’ to the wine.
Soft, tannins give the wine texture, weight and a long, finish.
Food Pairing
Excellent with hearty stews and vegetable dishes.
