Black currant, cedar, iron and sage notes prevail in this dense, powerful red. Retains a sense of elegance, finishing long, with echoes of fruit, herbs and spice. Everything is in the right place. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

Silver Totem Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

From one of Washington’s up-and-coming growing areas, Horse Heaven Hills, this cabernet sauvignon possesses plenty of character, weight and outstanding cabernet flavors. Plenty of tannins to add to the rich dark fruit.

Banfi Tuscany ASKA 2015 Bolgheri Rosso DOC

Dusty black currant, olive, gravel, graphite and spice flavors combine for a positive effect in this tightly wound red. Needs a bit of time to relax, but all the components are well-proportioned. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2021 through 2032.

The 2016 Rosso di Montalcino delivers just the right level of intensity and fruity pizzazz. This informal Rosso sports a tonic ruby color with variety-driven tones of blueberry and wild raspberry. That fruit is especially energetic in this classic vintage.
