Albinea Canali Ottocentonero

Ebulliently perfumed, almost red flower petal-like; finishes classically bitterish and drier than many Lambruscos; would be delicious with heartier fare; half made of delightfully named Salamino grape, so called because the berries resemble little salumi. -Bill St. John

Albinea Canali Ottocentonero

Subtle aromas of fresh red currants, wild strawberry and violet notes, over a slight mineral base. Dry and clean on the palate, with nuances of fresh red summer berries and a pleasing hint of bitterness. Bright, refreshing finish. Great value. Food pairing: Gnocchi with pancetta, spinach and parmesan cream.
