I Saltari Amarone 2004 della Valpolicella DOC

There’s a subtle power to this red, bolstered by integrated, chewy tannins and by the layers of flavor-sun-dried black cherry, date, tobacco, pekoe tea, tar and espresso. The wine shows both texture and finesse, like tafetta instead of silk, with a long finish of medicinal herbs. – Alison Napjus October 15, 2011
