Moscato d’Cagliari

The Moscato grape has been grown on the island of Sardinia (where Cagliari is located) from time immemorial. Interestingly, the grapes for the production of Moscato d’Cagliari DOC are harvested in an advanced stage of ripeness, but before they have dried. The wine is always velvety and sweet and may be produced in a Liquoroso Dolce Naturale version which, when subjected to one year of aging, may be called a Riserva.
