Montuni is a white grape found in Emilia Romagna. Also known as Montu’, Bianchina or Bianchetto, it is widely diffused in the province of Bologna and in a neighboring district of the province of Modena. It is generally accepted that this vine descended from a Spanish varietal known as Mant`ua that was perhaps introduced at the same time that numerous vineyards in the region were being planted in Alicante vines.
