Corvina and Corvinone

Corvina and Corvinone are two completely different grapes.  Corvinone was once thought to be a mutation of Corvina, instead they are distinctly different, though could be related.  Both are red grapes grown in the Veneto and contribute to Bardolina, Valpolicella, Valpolicella Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella wines.
